The Coffee Morning on Saturday went really well. We had our first customer as soon as we opened and the Library was full and busy all morning and we still had people in at closing time. There wasn’t any time when we didn’t have somebody in and it almost felt as though we had no time to catch our breath.
Normal service as usual
The music from the Recorder Consort was excellent as always – we just wish we’d had a little more time to just stand and listen ! The cake stall was well filled with lovely cakes, the tombola sold out by about 11.45, the bric-a-brac went very well and the Stitchers who put on a lovely display of their work also sold very well.
We made approximately £200 which, in addition to the tea and coffee, included cakes, tombola and bric-a-brac, book sales (which included sales of new Dinosaur Books which Richard Beet got for us) and donations (which included a percentage of the Stitchers’ sales donated by them).
